A week in Maremma offers the opportunity to combine days along the coast with excursions to historic villages, natural landscapes and places rich in history. Choosing Rocchette as a starting point, each day can be dedicated to discovering a different side of the region.

Rocchette Beach
Day 1: Castiglione della Pescaia
The first day can be dedicated to Castiglione della Pescaia, starting with its medieval village and panoramic viewpoints. Walking down towards the modern part of town, visitors can reach the centre and harbour, where they can continue exploring and stop for lunch.
The afternoon can be left free for some time by the sea, gradually settling into the holiday atmosphere without planning too many activities or journeys.
Day 2: relaxing on Rocchette Beach
After the first day of sightseeing, it is worth spending some time on Rocchette Beach. The headland, Mediterranean vegetation and sea define one of the most distinctive stretches of coastline in the area.
The entire day can be spent on the beach or combined with walks and outdoor activities, keeping the schedule more relaxed.
Days 3 and 4: Diaccia Botrona and Vetulonia
The middle of the week can be dedicated to exploring inland Maremma. A day at the Diaccia Botrona Nature Reserve offers the opportunity to discover the wetland landscape and observe an environment very different from the coast.
The following day, visitors can head to Vetulonia, exploring the village and learning more about the area’s Etruscan history through its museum and archaeological sites. Planning these excursions on separate days allows visitors to enjoy both destinations at a more leisurely pace.
Days 5 and 6: Punta Ala and Cala Violina
The following days can take the itinerary northwards along the coast. Punta Ala offers the sea, pine forests and a pleasant marina area to explore without rushing.
For the next day, an excursion to Cala Violina can be planned, checking the access regulations in advance for the period of the stay. The route through the natural surroundings and a day spent in the bay offer the opportunity to discover another beautiful stretch of the Maremma coastline.
Day 7: a day without plans
After several days of excursions, the final day can be left completely free. Returning to a favourite beach, taking another walk through Castiglione della Pescaia or simply relaxing allows visitors to end the week without turning the holiday into a continuous series of sightseeing trips.
Camping Village Rocchette can serve as a base for the entire itinerary, avoiding changes of accommodation and unnecessary journeys. With camping pitches, bungalow and Lodge Tent available, guests can choose the accommodation option that best suits their way of travelling.
Seven days make it possible to find a balance between exploration and relaxation, moving from the sea to historic villages and from nature to history, while still enjoying the pleasure of experiencing a holiday at a leisurely pace.
